Every year, the Dr Henri Dubois-Ferrière Dinu Lipatti Foundation awards grants to researchers working in French-speaking Switzerland based on recommendations made by the Science Steering Committee. The aim of these grants is to encourage early-stage research leading to preliminary findings necessary for researchers to apply for longer-term funding from other institutions.
The grants process is managed by the Science Steering Committee. Applications are generally sourced from researchers in the relevant fields. The Committee then presents a shortlist to the Board, which makes the final selection.
The Geneva Cancer League and the Foundation have a joint scholarship programme for young researchers in onco-haematology who wish to pursue specialised training in a particular area.
Grants for established researchers
Larger grants are awarded for ambitious research projects led by established researchers and for infrastructure development at the Geneva University Hospitals.
